Corporate HSET Program
ARS Health, Safety, Environmental and Training (HSET) principles are integrated in the way we conduct our business. ARS has committed to provide our clients and employees the highest level of safety education well beyond industry standards. Our HSET department provides safety education and training for all employees through classroom, field and practical management experiences. ARS continuously looks for opportunities to further improve safety processes and procedures.
ARS provides program-specific HSET management for our clients including facilitating, tracking, updating and retaining personnel training records. We also have a Contractor Safety Management Program in place to manage our subcontractors and ensure that they meet both our safety standards and those of our clients.
It is our objective at ARS to achieve full regulatory compliance and incident-free operations. We identify the risks of our activities and reduce them to the lowest practical levels. Our primary goals are to prevent harm to people, the environment, assets and company reputation.
ARS provides in-house fit for purpose training. Once client needs have been defined, ARS can tailor a specific curriculum to provide a safe and effective employee workforce prepared for the unique challenges of emergency response.
The ARS training department provides multiple and diverse training programs to provide employees with the knowledge and skills to safely execute their response activities. Our training programs have been designed to meet or exceed standard course requirements. Our training department is fully qualified to develop specialized training academies and programs to fit job-specific functions and/or diverse company needs, regardless of company size. Our qualified and experienced instructors, can provide external participants and employees with practical and real life discussions to keep training interactive and inspiring for all who participate.
Village Response Team
The Village Response Team (VRT) is important for the North Slope’s ability to respond to the oil spills. Locally trained and qualified personnel are key components to executing successful spill response activities. Alaska Clean Seas (ACS) works closely with ARS to ensure that all VRT members can safely and effectively respond to incidents on the North Slope.
